An ambitious new tapas restaurant opened its doors this week in Rockville’s King Farm neighborhood. Ayşe Meze Lounge, from longtime Frederick restaurateur Nezih Pistar, has taken over the old Nick’s Chophouse space at 700 King Farm Boulevard. The menu blends Italian, Greek and Turkish cuisine at moderate prices.

Big news — Loudoun County is getting its second Paris Baguette bakery and restaurant. The Burn has learned the new store will be coming to Leesburg. A local Paris Baguette franchisee has signed a deal to take a nearly 2,600 s.f. space at the Shops at Russell Branch. That’s the small retail center at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway SE with the Lowe’s home improvement store, an ALDI grocery store, and the Brite Wash Auto Wash.
